TRAILS
OUR LOCAL TRAIL NETWORK
The Stowe, Waterbury and Morrisville mountain bike trail network meanders through land graciously used by permission from private and public landowners, and are maintained and developed by volunteers, largely through the efforts of SMBC and its members.
Why are there no trail maps?
- Some of the land on which we are allowed to ride is private property and as part of our agreements with some of the landowners we agreed not to publish maps and in some cases not to mark the trails.
- We are a volunteer organization and making maps takes time away from riding and money that we would rather spend on building and maintaining trails. If you have GIS software and would like to help us make maps please contact us.
If there are no maps how can I find out where the trails are?
- Come out and help us build and maintain our trails. You'll learn the trails by working on them and meet riders who know them.
- Learn the trail network by coming to group rides
- Local bike shops may direct you to suitable trails for your riding ability.
Please respect trails at all times so we can all enjoy them indefinitely.
